I’ve had my hat roughly for ten years. It has hiked in the mountains. Hiked in Costa Rica. Tubed in Florida. Been to several water parks. It is my go to head gear if I’m doing outside activities. None the worse for wear. The venting helps let the heat out. You can soak the hat in water to help cool you in the heat and humidity. The shade it provides for your eyes is good. It fits well but it is nice to have the chin strap if it gets windy. The brim has held up well, even when stuffed into a backpack. Just a great hat and I would buy it again in a heart beat.
