I purchased this saw for wood-cutting only, and to not butcher the wild game. I chose the 28″ blade in hopes I could cut larger (12+ to 18″+) logs and to clear trails. It is very convenient to pack and strapped to my back-pack frame leaves easy access.

I give the saw 5 stars, but have to take one away for the cover. Its a nylon cover that I immediately replaced with a leather one. I could see the cover was going to last only a couple of trips. I would suggest ditching the cover and charging less for the saw.

The quality of the saw was very good. I used the saw clearing trail while elk hunting_x000D_
and getting camp wood. After using the 28″, I probably would order the 18″ blade instead of the 28″ for ease of packing and using on the trail, I did not need the extra length._x000D_
I do recommend the saw.

Very useful for heavy duty camping.

I bought the 28″ saw to cut parts of a cherry tree stump in our backyard. The saw cuts very good but not as deep and doesn’t remove as much wood as I would like. I need a saw with teeth like 5 TPI to cut away parts of the stump. I don’t want to use a chainsaw although I may have to do that. I just need to find the right saw that cuts fast, deep and removes a lot of wood. I am aware that sawing wood is good exercise.

I haven’t used this saw yet. I bought this one and an 18 in at the same time. If this one works as well as the 18 in and I’m sure it will, I consider it money very well spent.
